Ambassadors

Followers of Christ need to recognize that while we are in this world, we are ambassadors. 2 Corinthians 5:20 “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” Like ambassadors today, Christians need to be identified as followers of God in our actions, those actions at times might be declaring the gospel to the fallen world. This also might mean we are taking things to Christ so we can request God’s intercession. Today, we have events that require us to intercede to our Heavenly Father and ask for His divine action. We need to be praying for the peace of Israel and Jerusalem. We are commanded to Psalms 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.” We need to be praying and standing for truth, justice, and peace. Zechariah 8:16 “These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace.” When God called those who are saved to be ambassadors, this comes with a purpose that is now founded in our daily actions. We are to be focused on what God wants. Zechariah 7:9 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another.” We need to be praying for Israel and the war that has engulfed the nation. We need to pray for a swift and quick victory, and that peace will come.

Now for those who are “End Times Scholars” they might say “Peace will not come until Jesus sits on the throne”. This is true but we are to nevertheless pray! One of the oldest diplomatic policies established by God that still holds true today is His promise to Israel. Genesis 12:2-3 “And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” He established this nation to be the tool for the birth of the savior of the world! He still has a plan for the Jewish people and as Church we need to be praying to our Father for peace in Israel. So take time out of your day and let us intercede to our Heavenly Father for peace for Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people.

We can also pray for those who also live in the promise land and pray they, as well as the Jewish people, come to know Jesus Christ as the true and living Lord and Savior. If you have more questions regarding the actions and future actions of God with His people, feel free to send us an email and request posts/study on the topics!

Hold until relieved, our Blessed Hope is coming,

JL
