Take a Moment and Ask

All it takes is to turn on the news, or more accurately unlock your phone, and the alerts come raining in. It doesn’t matter what stage of life you are in, there is something that is causing you to worry and/or to focus your attention on. In my own life personally, I thought recently that I might be juggling several circuses at the same time. Nevertheless, I remember a quote from C.S Lewis in his book Prince Caspian, there is a moment, that Lucy is with Aslan and she makes a comment about not remembering him being as big, Aslan responds that he grows to the size she needs him to be. How amazing is God that when the world throws something at us that is not expected, God jumps in and is very much the adequate response we need.

God is a God who loves and cares for us, all we need to do is lean on Him and ask for His help.

Remember what Paul said,  Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord [is] at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

So as summer comes to an end, and fall is around the corner; as all the issues and pressures of this world continue to mount up, remember that God is not only bigger than them, He might just be using the problems and cares of this world to draw you to where your attention should be on.

My challenge for you is to see what God is calling for you to re-examine in your own life.

Mill House Ministries is here if you have questions or concerns. We want to help encourage you every step of the way through this amazing adventure God has us on. Let us purely live out what Christ says through Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 “See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Hold until relieved, our Blessed Hope is coming,

JL
