THANKFUL

This is not just a time for Americans, but for all people to stop and be thankful for what God has done. It never ceases to amaze me how much we have to be thankful for with God. Salvation is paramount, but what about everything else He has done for us. Jesus Christ is not just salvation, but so much more. This is why we are told to be thankful continuously and without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” What do you have right now that you need to stop and thank the Lord for? I know for me, it is His ever loving kindness and slowing down to deal with my sporadic moments. He lovingly takes His time to help me through what I am going through. Colossians 2:6-7 “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” So as Thanksgiving comes, let us slow down and remember that God is a God who not only cares and is there for us, but we should stop and be thankful for the things He has done, is doing, and will do for us. He did not need to, but chose to because He loves you and I. This is enough to have a holiday and be Thankful!
