Christ is still on the Throne

Today I want to finish what we started in our Special Prophecy Update from Saturday. Currently the world is watching the U.S elections and attempting to figure out how will the world change in the coming months. For Christians in the United States this can be an unnerving time. Nevertheless, as this being the day before the November 3rd election, I thought it would be prevalent to bring it all back to what we should be focused on.

I must confess, I was prepared to write on something entirely different when I sat down to begin, however I have recently and frequently found being pressed on my heart to call you the readers and us here at Mill House Ministries to prayer. The impact of the next 24 hours will be monumental.

My aim is to speak frankly without skillful craft or any hint of trepidation, but rather a calming peace that the Lord has given me and one that I hope you may obtain as well. No matter what happens tomorrow, our aim as believers in Jesus Christ is to bless His name and continue with what we are supposed to do. Over the next 24 to 48 hours, as we find out who our next leader is and what will be the political structure of our leadership we need to keep our eyes focused on our true Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As the psalmist wrote in Psalm 84,

How lovely are Your dwelling places,
Lord of armies!
My soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
The bird also has found a house,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may put her young:
Your altars, Lord of armies,
My King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are ever praising You. Selah

Blessed is the person whose strength is in You,
In whose heart are the roads to Zion!
Passing through the Valley of Baca they make it a spring;
The early rain also covers it with blessings.
They go from strength to strength,
Every one of them appears before God in Zion.

Lord God of armies, hear my prayer;
Listen, God of Jacob! Selah
See our shield, God,
And look at the face of Your anointed.
10 For a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than live in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord gives grace and glory;
He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.
12 Lord of armies,
Blessed is the person who trusts in You!

What a blessing knowing that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ cares for us. The great thing about November 3rd is the same person who is on the throne of Heaven on November 2nd will be the same person on the throne November 4th and through eternity. We are to do our part and vote, allow His will to work in the direction we are to go.

Mill House Ministries will be here to continue helping believers in our mission of Titus 2: 11-15, β€œFor the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, 12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds. 15 These things speak and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. No one is to disregard you.” No matter what happens we must continue to stand fast on our orders found in Matthew 28 with the Great Commission. We would implore you as fellow believers in Jesus Christ to vote according to what the Word of God has called us to be representatives of. We would then encourage you to pray and petition God for mercy and allow His will to be done this November 3rd.

Hold until relieved, our Blessed Hope is coming

JL
